Over 60 highly creative and playful works created by students from the School of Creative Media (SCM) are being showcased at the “Playful Media 2013” exhibition held at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) from 17 to 25 June. The opening ceremony was held on 18 June.

Mr Gabriel Pang Tsz-kit (left), Chairman of the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association, and Professor Liu Zhiqiang (right) of the SCM and founder of Playful Media, officiated at the opening ceremony.

The theme for this year is “Mobile Media – The Converging Platform”. A range of innovative and interactive works that merge art and new technology appear in four categories: animation and visual effects, photography and graphic design, games, and installation and interaction.

The exhibition was organised by the Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Creative Media programme. As an annual event, the exhibition provides a platform for students to practise the skills and knowledge that they have learnt and also to present their creative works to the general public. The event has been very successful since its debut in 2007.

The opening hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm. Please visit http://sweb.cityu.edu.hk/bsccm/sig2013/ for more information.
