A Smart Real-time Battery State and Health Diagnostics System that can significantly reduce the diagnosis time and save the loss of energy by 90% has been developed by a research team at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).

This system, as one of CityU’s Smart City research projects, has been developed by a team led by Professor Henry Chung Shu-hung from the Department of Electronic Engineering. The system has been tested successfully with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the HKSAR Government, which will plan to use the system on government vehicles.

Professor Chung and his team will present the developing process and the advantages and the applications of the system at the media briefing. A representative from EMSD will also attend.
