The 35th Annual Award Ceremony of the World Cultural Council (WCC) will be hosted for the first time ever in Hong Kong at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in early November 2018. At this joint press conference, Professor Sir Colin Blakemore, President of WCC, will announce the winners of this year’s “Albert Einstein World Award of Science” and the “José Vasconcelos World Award of Education”.  

Professor Way Kuo, President of CityU, will announce the young researchers and scholars from Hong Kong especially acknowledged by the WCC this year for their outstanding performance in the fields of science, education or arts.

WCC, a non-profit international organisation based in Mexico, was founded in 1981 with an initial membership of 124 distinguished scientists and scholars, university presidents and executives from the five continents, including several Nobel laureates.

WCC bestows an annual “Albert Einstein World Award of Science”, and the biennial “José Vasconcelos World Award of Education” and “Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts” to individuals who have contributed significantly to related fields. The media are warmly invited to attend and learn more about the WCC and the awards.
