Students introducing their inventions*:
Students from the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) have developed a device that monitors the remaining power and life of a wheelchair battery to prevent loss of power when the wheelchair is used outdoors. A non-profit organisation is now considering the introduction of this device for wheelchair users.

In addition, students from CityU’s Department of Mechanical Engineering have built a robot that can ‘self-learn’ by taking photos that identify various objects. The hope is that the robot can be applied to manufacturing production.

The inventors of these two projects will introduce their innovations to the media. There will also be an exhibition that showcases projects and inventions developed by CityU students.

Interview with employers*:
Ms Maria Hui, HR Director of Microsoft Hong Kong Ltd; Ms Dilys Chau, Partner of Ernst & Young, and Mr Anderson Chan, Director of Rider Levett Bucknall Limited, will share their comments about CityU graduates, the criteria for selecting candidates and expectations of employees.

*Interviews of students and employers will be undertaken at different sites at the same time before the Luncheon.
