Two newly appointed Council members learned about the remarkable progress of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) during a campus visit on 14 April. They were highly impressed by the top-notch teaching and research facilities.
Professor Way Kuo, University President, and members of the senior management team warmly welcomed Dr Raymond Lee Man-chun, Chairman of Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd and Mr Dominic Pang Yat-ting, Co-Chairman of Chun Wo Development Holdings Ltd.
Dr Lee and Mr Pang were briefed on CityU’s development and were led on a campus tour. They visited the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, the College of Business and the School of Creative Media. They also walked around the student hostels, talking to CityU students and learning about hall life.
“The teaching and learning facilities are well-equipped, and I am deeply impressed by the achievements CityU has made, especially the advanced antennas research by the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves,” said Dr Lee.
“I wasn’t aware that CityU had made so much progress over the years and is leading the world in many academic disciplines. I find the teaching and learning in CityU innovative and interactive,” Mr Pang added.
