University President shares education philosophy

The President of National Chiao Tung University, Professor Frank Chang Mau-chung, delivered the latest installment of the City University Distinguished Lecture Series titled “Marching Toward Great University” on 22 May.

Professor Chang said universities should steadfastly build their own legacy through active, modern and organised education. Great universities identify and nurture pioneers and leaders to advance the human knowledge base and elevate human civilisation in quantum scale.

Professor Chang was the Chairman and Wintek Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Member of the US National Academy of Engineering, US National Academy of Inventors and Academia Sinica.​
